Our Mission

The US Alliance for Democratic Iran (USADI), is a US-based, non-profit, independent organization, which promotes informed policy debate, exchange of ideas, analysis, research and education to advance a US policy on Iran which will benefit America’s interests, both at home and in the Middle East, through supporting Iranian people’s aspirations for a democratic, secular, and peaceful government, free of tyranny, fundamentalism, weapons of mass destruction, and terrorism.

USADI supports the Iranian people's aspirations for democracy, peace, human rights, women’s equality, freedom of expression, separation of church and state, self-determination, control of land and resources, cultural integrity, and the right to development and prosperity.

USADI is not affiliated with any government agencies, political groups or parties. The USADI administration is solely responsible for its activities and decisions.

Democracy for Iran, Security for America

A secure and peaceful world is built upon the strength of those who have the courage to dream of democracy. The Islamic Republic of Iran has terrorized its own citizens since 1979. The systemic gross violation of all basic rights of people from all walks of life is no secret. As reports about Iran’s secret nuclear weapons program indicate, this regime is on a crash course to become a nuclear power. Equally disturbing is Tehran’s destabilizing meddling in Iraq, the Mullah’s harboring of the Al-Qadea network, and Iran’s continued sponsorship of terrorism throughout the Middle East.

While the Iranian people are the main victims of the clerical regime, the horrible consequences of Iran’s conduct extend beyond its borders to neighboring countries, the Middle East, and beyond. No one can dispute the fact that the seeds of fundamentalist terrorism in its current form were sowed when Rouhollah Khomeini, the founding father of Iran’s theocracy, came to power in 1979. Americans have come to experience the horror of this evil through the global phenomenon of terrorism.

We must come together and help the Iranian people to fulfill their aspiration for a secular democratic society free of nuclear arms and other weapons of mass destruction, at peace with the rest of the world, including the United States.
